Anchor Brewing Liberty Ale (5.9%)(4th of July Special)
As American as it gets; liberty, bald eagle, crops and an anchor, the industries that kept this country running through it's darkest days. Bonus points already for label. Now to the important part: first, the smell... smells as dry as Michelle Obama going through the menopause. Hopefully the taste is more delightful. Crisp, tasty and slightly original. Like most of San Fran's residents, it could swing both ways. We decided it an appropriate titled drink given the day that's in it and we're not disappointed.....only just! Attempting to be a little too patriotic which loses points but regardless this is a decent feckin' ale, not a stand out and nothing to write home about......but don't fix what's not broken...."If you want to make enemies, try to change something" - Woodrow Wilson (Former president 1913 - 1921)
